Suzy McKee Charnas was born in Manhattan in October 1939. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Barnard and a Master’s from New York University. In addition to the play VAMPIRE DREAMS, she is the author of numerous published novels and short stories in the genres of science fiction and fantasy and was the recipient of both Hugo and Nebula Awards. She passed away in January 2023.
