Duration: 1 minuteGender: FemaleAge: TeenGenre: Drama
Context: Leah remembers her Gentile friends in Bobruysk.

Leah: When I was little, in Bobruysk, most of my friends were Gentile. We lived near a Catholic church and we play there and run around and who knew the difference? Once a priest walked by in his black cassock and black hat and his beard and he didn’t look no different from the rabbi, to me. And my friends, they ran up to him and kissed his ring. So what do I do? I don’t want to be left out. So I ran up to him and kneeled down and kissed his ring and he patted my head and my mother gave me the worst beating of my life. Someone would put up a sign. “Brothers in Christ! If you love Holy Mother Russia, you will get rid of the Jews!” I love Mother Russia, too.
