Description

When six characters suddenly appear during the rehearsal of a Pirandello play and demand to have their story told instead, the director is forced to confront an entirely new theatrical situation, one that cascades into chaos as the characters and the actors collide in surreal twists of comical, philosophical, and tragical confrontation. SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR is widely considered the Nobel Prize–winning Pirandello’s masterpiece, and Italian-American translator Penelope Bussolino breathes vivacious new life into this classic of world theater.
