DANIEL DAMIANO is an award-winning playwright, acclaimed actor, Pushcart–nominated poet and acclaimed novelist based in Brooklyn, NY. His plays have been produced throughout many areas of the U.S., as well as Sydney and Melbourne, Australia and London, England. Recent productions of his plays include: AMERICAN TRANQUILITY (East Village Playhouse, DUAF Festival, PIT Loft and Capital Fringe Festival), THE LEPERS (Ensemble Studio Theatre Marathon), HARMONY PARK (Detroit Repertory Theatre) and, most recently, his solo play ONE WITH THE CURRENT (36th Street Studio Theatre, Dream Up Festival, NY Society for Ethical Culture). His play THE WILD BOAR has been a Finalist for the 2022 Dayton Playhouse Futurefest, the Woodward/Newman Drama Prize and the Janet and Bruce Bunch Award. His published work includes his acclaimed play DAY OF THE DOG (Broadway Play Publishing), as well as two novels, The Woman in the Sun Hat (2021 Seattle Book Review Recommendation) and Graphic Nature, and his debut book of poetry, 104 Days of the Pandemic (all by fandango 4 Art House). His second poetry book, The Concrete Jungle and the Surrounding Areas was released in May 2024 by Bottlecap Press. His poetry has been published in a variety of literary journals in the U.S and Canada. He has been a recipient of the Christopher Brian Wolk Award for Playwriting, a Finalist for the Arts and Letters Prize for Drama and, most recently, a 2022 Finalist for the David A. Einhorn Memorial Playwriting Award. His new novel is Advice from a Cat.
